This page explains how to request deletion of your PhoneLimit account and all associated data. The app is published on Google Play under the package name app.phonelimit.
Delete your account from inside the app
PhoneLimit uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore for its friends feature. The fastest way to delete your account is in the app itself. It happens immediately, with no request and no waiting:
- Open PhoneLimit and go to Settings
- Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete My Account
- Confirm. Your account, your profile and your friendships are deleted right away, and the app resets to its first-run state.
Deleting your account does not cancel a PhoneLimit Pro subscription. Cancel that in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Or ask us to delete it
If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot open it, email us instead:
- Email notbuiltin@gmail.com
- Use the subject line “Delete my PhoneLimit account”
- Include the email address you used inside the app (for the friends / family mode feature) so we can locate your data
We process emailed deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm by email once completed.
What gets deleted
- Your Firebase Authentication account (the email/anonymous identity created by the app)
- Your Firestore profile (display name, weekly average screen time, category breakdown, streak, and shared app list)
- Your friendship connections and any invite codes you generated
- Deleting from inside the app also clears everything stored on the device: your limits, goal, streak history and the family mode pattern
What stays on your device
Some data never leaves your phone and is therefore not stored on our servers. It is removed automatically when you uninstall the app:
- Detailed app usage statistics and screen time history
- The app time limits you set
- Family mode pattern lock and backup PIN (stored only as SHA-256 hashes)
- Streak calendar history
